JnU student claimed as BSL activist assaults bus staff

Dhaka, September 03 (JnU Correspondent/OurVoice): Jagannath university student's video goes viral. JnU students expressed discontent about this video.

In the video, a youth is seen beating up a bus helper. At this time he said, you know who I am? I am a co-coordinator of Jagannath University.

The name of the young man, who assaulted the helper is Tausif Shakil. He is a 2018-19 academic year student of Chemistry Department of JnU.

Many students of JnU said, he is not one of our co-coordinators. He is an activist of Bangladesh Student Leagure. Morever, during student movement he took stand against the movement.

Nur Novi, a student of Islamic studies, said, in JnU there is no post called co-ordinator. He also said, Tausif is a BSL activist. That's why he was trying to create controverse in the movement.

Shahin Mia, a student of History Department, said, I strongly condemn this incident and demand action from the university administration.

The students of JnU declared Tausif Shakil unwanted from the Uttaran bus due to his stand against the student movement.
