World Cleanup Day in Bad Godesberg: A Colorful Community Cleaning Together

Bonn-Bad Godesberg, 20 September (SerajiFoundation/OurVoice) – On Sunday, 20 September 2026, the World Cleanup Day 2026 Community Cleaning took place at Bonn-Bad Godesberg, organized by the Seraji Foundation in cooperation with the Marokkanischer Kulturverein Bad Godesberg e.V. Despite rainy weather, numerous dedicated volunteers gathered at 12:00 noon to collect litter and contribute to a cleaner, greener city.

Among those present were Moussa Acharki, Member of the Bonn City Council; Frank Schmitz from Zentrenmanagement Bad Godesberg; Stella Reschke, Consultant of Kultur verbindet e.V., Climate activist Ute Pientka, Shamsul Arefin, President of DAfB e.V.; Dr. Abdul Hai, Member of the Advisory Council of the Seraji Foundation; Riazul Islam, President of the Seraji Foundation; and Saiful Hyder Chowdhury, Secretary of the Seraji Foundation.

In his speech, Moussa Acharki, Member of the Bonn City Council, emphasized: "This action shows how colorful and diverse Bad Godesberg is. We want a clean city, and today's action gives us the opportunity to make our city even more beautiful and cleaner.”

Riazul Islam, President of the Seraji Foundation, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Marokkanischer Kulturverein e.V. and all participants who took part despite the rainy weather. He also extended a special thank to the cooperation partners: DAfB e.V., Zentrenmanagement Bad Godesberg, Smile Delivery Bonn e.V., Netzwerk politikIatelier e.V. and Kultur verbindet e.V. Their support was instrumental in making the event a success.
