Jahid obtained PhD degree from Muhammadiyah University

Rajshahi/Jakarta (Special Correspondent/OurVoice): Md Abu Jahid, a former senior lecturer of University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) Dhaka, has obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Financial Management. 

He obtained this degree on the basis of his research on “Institutional Factors, Corporate Governance Mechanisms and Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting in a Developing Country: Evidence from Bangladesh” with the full scholarship of Muhammadiyah University. 

His achievement will play a special role in the sustainable financial management of developing countries and Bangladesh and in the implementation of the United Nations SDGs 2030. 

Several of his research papers have been published in Scopus indexed journals. Md. Abu Jahid was born in Agla village of Belpukur, Puthia in Rajshahi district. His father's name is Rafiq Uddin Ahmed and mother's name is Sufia Begum. 

Dr. Jahid completed his secondary education from Rajshahi Masjid Mission Academy, higher secondary education from Pabna Govt. Edward College and obtained BBS (honors) in Accounting and MBA from Accounting Department in Rajshahi University. 

During his career, he has experienced various corporate jobs and mastering since 2008 at UITS for seven years and Bangladesh International School and College in Saudi Arabia for four years. He is currently working as a visiting assistant professor at Muhammadiyah University, Indonesia. His wife Sherajum Munira is also currently pursuing her PhD in Governance Science at the same university.
