Bonn, July 11 (sf/OurVoice): The Bonn Donation Parliament supports the “Chess Tournament for the Neighborhood” project of the Seraji Foundation e.V. association with a grant of 1,090 Euro.

Many people with a wide variety of cultural and educational backgrounds are interested in this event, which can also be carried out going beyond language barriers and includes a social part for getting to know each other. A referee from the chess group of the German Federal Parliament Sports Association is going to conduct the tournament.

The parliamentarians of the Bonn Donation Parliament decided on the funding of the chess tournament at the 31st parliamentary session on April 17, 2024 at the Elisabeth Selbert Comprehensive School in Bonn.

The Bonn Donation Parliament is a non-profit, non-partisan and democratic initiative. It is an intermediary between initiatives and associations that are committed to Bonn and neighboring communities and people who want to support this work in a completely new, innovative way.

Seraji Foundation e.V. will organize the second annual chess tournament for integration, neighborhood, educational and intercultural exchange in Bonn on November 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. The first chess tournament with around 20 participants already took place in 2023.

Other cooperation partners for the event are the Netzwerk Politik Atelier e.V., the House of Integration and the German-Bengali Society Cologne-Bonn e.V..

The chess tournament will take place in the seminar room of the Netzwerk Politik Atelier e.V. at Kaiser-Friedrich Str. 13 in Bonn. Registrations for the chess tournament are requested by November 10, 2024 at [email protected].
