Demonstrators gathered outside 10 Downing Street recently for an emergency protest calling for an immediate end to the bombing of Gaza.

The rally, organised under the slogans “End the Genocide” and “Stop Bombing Gaza,” urged the UK government to demand a ceasefire and take stronger action to protect Palestinian civilians.

Among those attending were members of Bengalis for Palestine, including Nooruddin Ahmed, Jalal Rajonuddin, Shafique Ahmed, Soyful Alam, Advocate A.K.M. Karim, Lukman Uddin and Javed Ahmed, who joined others in expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza and calling for an end to the violence.

Protesters carried Palestinian flags and placards calling for justice and an end to what they described as the collective punishment of Gaza’s population. The demonstration was part of a wave of global solidarity actions taking place in cities around the world.

Speakers at the event called for humanitarian aid access and accountability for attacks on civilians.
