Prize giving ceremony held at 'Vision Academy' in Dhaka

Dhaka, September 28 (Special Correspondent/OurVoice): A prize giving ceremony of an open islamic knowledge and cultural competition on the occasion of the year 1446 Hijri was held at Vision Academy' in Dhaka on Friday.

Vision Academy Vice Principal Hasan Yahya and Coordinator Abdul Hadi presented welcome address, while the founding chairman of the Academy Professor Dr. M. Abu Jafor Khan was in the chair. The former dean of Islamic University, Prof. Dr. Tahir Ahmed was present as the chief guest. 

Among others, Principal of Mahakhali Darul Uloom Hossainia Kamil Madrasa Dr. Nazrul Islam Al Maruf, Professor of Manarat International University Muhammad Obaidullah, Professor of Chittagong University  Md. Shahidul Haque, General Secretary of Vision Academy Prof. Md. Khairul Bashar and Director Shamsunnahar addressed the function.

The competition was held in three stages in seven categories including recitation from the Holy Quran, Hamd Naat, Hinfzul Quran, English Speech, Arabic Speech and Islamic Calligraphy. Three winners were awarded from each category: Taka 10,000 to the first prize winner, 5,000 to the second prize and 3,000 to the third prize winner. Besides, each winner received a certificate.

Students aged from 4 to 10 years from different districts of the country participated in this competition. The competition was held from August 23 to September 6.
