IU Law and Land Management dept chairman takes charge

Kushtia, September 21 (IU Correspondent/OurVoice) – Assistant Professor M Mahedi Hasan took charge as the chairman of Law and Land Management department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Saturday.
Assistant Professor Shahida Akhtar, former chairperson of the department, handed over the charge in a charge handing over ceremony held at Mir Mosharraf Hossain building in the morning.
Students of different sessions of the department welcomed the newly appointed chairman with floral reception.
Among others, IU Law department Professor Towhidul Anam Tomal and deputy registrar M Enamul Haque addressed the occasion.
Mahedi was appointed to the post for the next three years as the tenure of previous chairperson, Shahida Akhtar of the same department, came to an end.
The newly appointed chairman said that he would work to move forward with the highest priority to mitigate the session jam of the department. He sought cooperation from teachers and students of the university to perform his duties meticulously, he added.
