Seminar on ‘liberal humanism’ held at Islamic University

Kushtia, November 09 (IU Correspondent/OurVoice) – A PhD seminar on ‘the dichotomy of liberal humanism in E. M Forster’s novels’ was held at Islamic University in Kushtia on Tuesday. 

IU English department organised the seminar at the university’s Rabindra-Nazrul Academic Building in the morning.

IU Arts’ faculty dean, also IU former vice-chancellor, Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the seminar as chief guest with the department chairman Professor Miah M Rashiduzzaman in the chair.

IU English department Professor M Shahadat Hossain Azad spoke as chief discussant in the seminar.

M Sazzad Hossain, an associate professor of English department, conducted the seminar attended by around 20 teachers of different departments of the university including, Professor M Johurul Islam, Professor M Asaduzzaman, assistant  Professor Shahida Akhtar.

Afroza Siddika, a PhD fellow of IU English department, presented the article under the supervision of Professor M Mamunur Rahman of the same department.
