Jagannath University teacher gets death threat again

Dhaka, 13 June (Correspondent/OurVoice) – Professor Dr Milton Biswas, the chairman of Jagannath University’s Bangla department, has received an anonymous letter with death threat again.

A postman has dropped the letter to the room of the Bangla department chairman of the university on Monday, Bangla department officials said on Tuesday.

In the letter, the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and her family members were taunted with indecent language and criticised the various activities of the current government.

The anonymous letter containing several pages included distorted photos of the Prime Minister, with various writings on them.

A group of vested quarters has threatened me as I have written different columns on the development of the incumbent government, Milton Biswas, talking to the correspondent, said.

They might have targeted me as I wrote thousands of columns only for the government of the pro-liberation war forces, he suspected.

‘I demand action against those, who are involved in these activities‘, he added.

He lodged a general diary with Kotwali Thana after he had received a death threat on January 29 and May 15 this year.

Dr. Milton Biswas received first death threat in 2014 as well for writing a column on the development of the current government.
