IU English Teacher Afroza Banu obtains PhD degree

Afroza Banu Sathi, an assistant Professor of English department of Islamic University in Kushtia, obtained PhD degree under its Arts’ faculty of the university recently.

Islamic University approved the degree at its 255th syndicate meeting held on the campus in Kushtia with IU vice-chancellor Professor Shaikh Abdus Salam was in the chair, sources an IU academic office official said on Monday.

IU awarded the degree to Afroza Banu for her research entitled ‘Challenges and Remedies of Teaching English at Secondary Level in Bangladesh: A Study at the Context of Khulna Division.’

She completed her PhD degree under the supervision of IU English department Professor AHM Aktarul Islam.
