Islamic University Holds Masters’ Exam Online

Kushtia, August 31 (Correspondent/OurVoice): The biotechnology and genetic engineering department of Islamic University in Kushtia took its masters’ semester final examination under 2018-19 academic session online on Tuesday.

A total of 25 students out of 25 took part in the examination held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm following the direction of the university.

Fear worked in my mind first but in the end there was no problem, one of the students of the department said.

We have curtailed the written marks from 70 to 30 while the remaining 40 marks are for viva-voce, examination committee member Abu Hena Mostafa Jamal Happy said.

They took the initiative for holding the examination to mitigate session jam created during the closure of COVID-19 pandemic, he added.

IU Vice Chancellor Professor Shaikh Abdus Salam thanked the department for completing the examination smoothly.

According to the university authorities, all departments are preparing to hold their bachelor and masters’ final examination online.

The university administration has unanimously approved to take examinations online at its academic council meeting held on August 17.
