An inter-session football tournament of the Biomedical Engineering department of Islamic University was held on the campus in Kushtia on Wednesday.
IU Biomedical Engineering department’s 2019-20 academic session organised the event at the Football Playground of the university.
The students of the 2018-19 academic session of the department won the tournament beating its 2020-21 academic session. Later, a prize giving ceremony was held there.
The Biomedical Engineering department chairperson assistant professor M Rabiul Islam was present at the event as the chief guest, while the department’s assistant professors M Khairul Islam and S M Jahurul Haque were present as special guests.
IU Biomedical Engineering department assistant Professor Ariful Islam chaired the tournament.
Sports keep us away from drugs, alcohol and other bad habits, the speakers, addressing the prize giving ceremony, said. Every student should participate in sports along with studies, because it helps us to keep our minds fresh and makes a man fit both physically and mentally.
