Eid Holiday in JnU Starts on Thursday

Dhaka, May 05 (JnU Correspondent/OurVoice): On the occasion of Holy Jumatul Bida, Shabe Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays at Jagannath University (JnU) will start from May 6 to last till May 17.
At this time, the teachers and staff of the university have to stay in their respective workplaces. This information was given in a press release signed by the Registrar Engineer Md. Ohiduzzaman on the order of the Acting Vice Chancellor of Jagannath University on Tuesday.
According to the government directive and Jagannath University’s list of holidays for the 2020-21 academic year, all institutes, departments and administrative offices of the university will be closed from May 6 to 17 on the occasion of Holy Jumatul Bida, Shabe Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr. During this time all teachers, officers and employees will be at their respective workplaces.
The university’s emergency services (telephone, internet, security, clean-up) will be on during this time, the notification said. As the corona virus infection continues to rise at an alarming rate, before the first phase of the lockdown on March 31, the government issued instructions to Jagannath University, the university administration decided to limit the administration of limited basis and to close the examinations of various departments.
Due to the deterioration of the corona situation across the country, the closure period of all offices of Jagannath University has been extended till May 5 due to the lockdown given by the government.
