150 km March Starts with Call to Boycott Plastics

Three members of Comilla University (CoU) Rover Scouts have started a march from Lohagara in the Chittagong district calling for a boycott of plastic use.
To receive the President’s Rover Scout Award they started this march on Wednesday. The march will end on March 26 at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar district.
The team is led by Khorshed Alam, a student of the 11th batch and senior Rovermate of the Marketing Department of the university. Other team members are Rovermate Abdur Rahman, a student of the 11th batch of Management Education Department and Rashedul Amin, a student of the 11th batch of the Economics Department.
Commenting on the visit, team leader Khorshed Alam said, “We have started this five-day march from Lohagarh in Chittagong district. We are organizing this in the hope of building ourselves as transparent patriots on the golden jubilee of independence and enriching Comilla University Rover.
In order to receive the highest award for Rovering, the President’s Rover Scout Award (PRS), at the service level, rovers have to complete a program of 150 km on foot or 300 km by boat or 500 km by bicycle, which is known as Rambling in Scouting.
