Withdrawal of Educational Fees Demanded at IU

Kushtia, June 28 (Correspondent/OurVoice): Islamic University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra Moitri on Monday demanded to waive all kinds of fees for the students of the university during the Covid-19 period.
A team of Chhatra Moitri IU unit led by its President Abdur Rouf and Vice-President Akhtar Hossain Azad submitted a memorandum to the university Treasurer Professor M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya to press home their demand.
According to the memorandum, the university authorities decided to take all kinds of examinations after Eid-ul-Adha. The students will have to pay different fees including hall and transportation without using the facilities.
Many students have also paid housing rent without residing in the mess during the pandemic situation.
The student organisation demanded waiver of residence and transport fees on consideration of the financial situation of the students.
Chhatra Moitri IU unit President said that they had submitted a memorandum to the university authorities for waiving the fees.
They would go for a tougher movement if their demands were not met, he added.
