Uber Eats to Tingle Taste Buds in Chittagong

Chittagong, March 21 (bpr/OurVoice): Uber Eats has launched operations in Chittagong, making it the second city in Bangladesh, after Dhaka, where eaters can now order their favourite foods just at the tap of a finger.

With over 250 restaurant partners on board at launch, foodies in Chattogram will be able to order food from their favorite restaurants, such as Candy, Barcode, Handi, Cafe Milano, Grand Shikdar, Well Food Corner, Mezzan Haile Ayun, Sadia’s Kitchen, Mezban Bari, Ayozon, Red Rooster and many more, right in the comfort of their homes. In the launch phase, Uber Eats will be available for consumers across key neighbourhoods in the city such as GEC Circle, Jamal Khan, Chawk Bazar, Panchlaish, Katalgonj, Pahartali, NandanKanan, Station Road, Agrabad and Halishahar.

Commenting on the launch Misha Ali, Lead, Uber Eats Bangladesh said, “Since the start of our operations in Dhaka, we have received a tremendous amount of love from our consumers. It is very encouraging that a number of restaurant partners of Chittagong have been very enthusiastic about partnering with us. After a successful journey in Dhaka, we look forward to becoming an integral part of the food culture of Chittagong.”

Currently Uber Eats is available in Dhaka and provides opportunities for thousands of restaurant partners.  Uber Eats has a wide selection of meal choices which will be delivered at Uber speed, and our launch will open new economic opportunities for 5,000 delivery partners across Dhaka and Chittagong, enable restaurants to connect with more consumers who will in turn have the freedom to choose the food what they want to have, delivered with Uber Eats’ reputation for safety and quality.

With its network of delivery partners, Uber Eats helps local restaurants reach new consumers quickly, efficiently and reliably. Furthermore, Uber Eats also offers its delivery partners the flexibility of working on the job at any given time, providing accident and life insurance for its partners, along with a flexible income opportunity.

Consumers will be able to order throughout the week during a restaurants’ normal operational hours. The Uber Eats app is separate from the Uber ridesharing app, and has been built specifically to make food delivery as seamless as possible. Starting today, consumers can download the new app for iOS and Android from the iTunes and Google Play Store, respectively.

As a launch offer, Uber Eats is offering new users 30% off on their first two orders. Eaters can use the ‘HELLOCTG’ promo code to enjoy this discount, up to a maximum amount of BDT 500 per order.
