National Library Day Observed at IU

Kushtia, January 5 (IU Correspondent/OurVoice): The National Library Day-2020 was observed at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Wednesday amid festive mood and much enthusiasm.

The university authorities decorated the entire library area drawing Alpona to mark the day.

The teachers, officers, students and staffs of the university brought out a procession, led by IU Acting Librarian Ataur Rahman, from the university’s administrative building.

Around five hundred people including IU Proctor Professor Paresh Chandra Barman, IU Additional Registrar M Nawab Ali, IU Officer Association President Shahmsul Islam Zoha, General Secretar Mir Morshedur Rahman and IU Information, Publication and Public Relations Office Director M Ataul Haque participated in the procession.

The procession ended in front of the university’s central library after parading main roads of the campus.

Later, a discussion programme was held at Khademul Haramin Badshah Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz Library.
