IU to Take Exams Physically from September 12

Kushtia, September 04 (Correspondent/OurVoice): The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia on Saturday decided to take its bachelor and masters’ examinations physically maintaining hygiene rules from September 12.

The residential dormitories, however, will remain closed during the examinations.

The decision was made at an emergency meeting held at the university at noon with IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Shaikh Abdus Salam in the chair.

According to the university authorities, the departments could take bachelor and masters’ final examinations, retake exams, practical or viva-voce physically or virtually from September 12.

The departments which completed their bachelor and masters’ examinations could take other batches’ final examinations but they will have to take the exam of one batch only in a day.

IU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor M Mahbubur Rahman said that the departments would be able to take the examinations of different academic years physically on the basis of priority. However, in this case, students will not get residential benefits.

The university administration has unanimously approved to take examinations online at its academic council meeting held on August 17, 2021.
