Eight press releases, signed by the provosts of three female and five male residential halls of the university, were issued in this regard.

Students have been asked to provide their national identity cards along with the hall’s room number, academic roll number and session to the provosts of their respective hall.

They can also provide their information through email to the respective hall, the press release said.

The university authorities took the decision in line with the government decision to vaccinate residential students against COVID-19 before bringing them back to dormitories, IU Acting Registrar M Ataur Rahman said.

The government earlier announced that the universities would reopen on May 24 as all educational institutes have remained closed since March 18 due to the corona virus pandemic.
