The admission test of agricultural universities is going to be held under the integrated admission system for the first time in the country. The test will be held on November 30 at 11 am, at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), along with five other agricultural universities across the country.
The Chairman of the Central Admission Test Committee and Vice-Chancellor of BAU Prof Dr. Lutful Hassan briefed at a press conference organized at the Vice-Chancellor’s office on Wednesday.
At the press conference, it was said that this time the number of applicants for the admission was 75,939. Among them, 35,982 candidates can participate in the admission test on the basis of CGPA at least 9.15 without 4th subject. Under the supervision of the University Grants Commission (UCG), the admission test will be held simultaneously in six centers including Bangladesh Agricultural University. 12,675 candidates will be able to attend the exam in 234 rooms at BAU.
Responding to a question to journalists, the Vice-Chancellor of BAU said, ‘All security measures have been taken to ensure the admission test is completed in a peaceful environment. In the previous admission tests, there was no incident of question out. There is no possibility of leaking-out the question in the upcoming admission test in the same series. In order to maintain the image of the university, the highest measures have been taken to prevent all kinds of dishonest ways to complete the admission test properly. Therefore, students and parents should be careful not to listen to rumors.’
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Hassan presided over the press conference. Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Md. Jasimuddin Khan, Acting Student Affairs’ Adviser Prof Dr. A. K. M. Zakir Hossain, Register Shaiful Islam, Treasurer Rakib Uddin, Proctor Professor Md. Azharul Haque, others members of the admission test committee and Deans of various faculties of BAU were also present.
