Digital Library Access Center Launched at IU

The authorities of Islamic University (IU) launched a digital library access center on the campus in Kushtia for improving library facilities.

A press release, signed by IU Acting Librarian M Ataur Rahman, was issued in this regard on Sunday.

IU Vice-Chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the access center at Khademul Haramain Badshah Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz central library as the chief guest.

IU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha, Library Automation Committee Convener Professor M Mahbubar Rahman were present as special guests.

While addressing the programme, IU VC said that they launched the digital library for the betterment of the library facilities. The students would use the center by registering themselves. The students would get all sort of books related information from the center.

They had a plan to set up an e-Book corner for the students, he added.

Around two hundred teachers and officials were present on the occasion.
