Pubali Bank Limited handed over a cheque of Taka 15 lakh to Bangladesh Agricultural University Research System (BAURES). The check transfer program was held at the Vice-Chancellor’s residential office on Monday.
The cheque was provided for the development of the International Guest House under BAURES. The development work will start at the International Guest house on the bank of the river Brahmaputra named ‘Baures Riverview’ to attract and facilitate research to the foreign researchers. It will include the construction of a conference room and sophisticated dining facilities, including international standard amenities.
BAURES Director Prof. Dr. M. A. M. Yahia Khandoker chaired the program while Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Lutful Hassan, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Jasimuddin Khan, Deputy General Manager of Pubali Bank Chowdhury Md. Shofiul Hasan, BAU Campus Manager Uzzal Kumar Saha and other officers of the bank, Student Affairs’ Adviser, Proctor, Deans of various faculties, Directors of various institutes and teachers of the university were also present.
The Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Lutful Hassan said, ‘Bauress had to be research-oriented and teachers should be student-friendly. Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) achieved this status with the support of teachers, students, officers and employees. Pubali Bank assisted us in various development activities since the founding of the University. We hope that this cooperation will also continue in future.
