Central Lab Inaugurated at Islamic University

    The authorities of Islamic University (IU) inaugurated Central Lab on the campus in Kushtia on Monday with a view to conducting research activities.

    IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the lab as chief guest at the fourth floor of the Applied Science and Technology Building.

    IU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha, Acting Registrar S M Abdul Latif, Syndicate Member Professor Mahbubar Rahman, IIER Director Professor M Maher Ali were present as special guests.

    IU Central Lab Additional Director Dr M Muntasir Rahman conducted the inaugural session while its Director Dipok Kumar Paul, Additional Director Abdullah Al Muhit, among others, were present on the occasion.

    When contacted, IU VC said, “To establish a Central Lab at Islamic University was my dream. As a matter of fact, I want the students of Faculties of Applied Sciences, Biological Sciences and Engineering and Technology to focus more on research and innovation. I am happy that my dream has come true in my tenure. The launch of the labs will pave the way for the furtherance of research and innovation of the university.
