Cake Festival Held at Islamic University

A cake festival was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Sunday amid festive mood and much enthusiasm.

IU Public Administration Department organised the event at the second floor of Mir Moshrraf Hossain academic building on the occasion of Public Administration Day 2020.

IU Vice-Chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the Pitha Utsab as the chief guest while Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha and Acting Registrar SM Abdul Latif spoke as special guests.

IU Public Administration Department Chairman Professor M Zulfiquar Hossain chaired the event attended by over five hundred students of the department.

Different traditional pithas made by the departmental students like Puli, Bhapa, Chitai, Pakan, Pati Shapta, Dudh Chitai, Dhupi, Beni, Komola Shundori, Nakshi, Lovo, Rosh Pitha and Taler Pitha have been displayed in the festival.
