The intake tests for the Bachelor of Education, Master of Education and Diploma in Library and Information Sciences under the Institute of Islamic Education and Research were at Islamic University in Kushtia on Friday.
The tests were held at Mir Mosharraf Hossain Academic Building from 2:00 to 2:30 pm. A total of 590 admission seekers took part in the tests this time, IIER Director Professor M Maher Ali said.
IU Vice-Chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha, Student Advisor Professor M Saidur Rahman, IU Hall Provost Council President Professor Tapon Kumar Joadder visited the examination centers.
Out of 590 admission seekers, 110 students contested for 75 seats in BEd course while 50 candidates vied for 50 seats in MEd course. Besides, 430 applicants vied for 80 seats in Diploma in Library Science.
The results would be published as early as possible on the university website at www.iu.ac.bd, he added.
