AL leader sets examples by plantation in 500 institutions

Advocate Biplab Hasan Polash, a member of Information and Research Sub Committee of the ruling Awami League, has set a glaring example by planting different species of trees in five hundred educational institutions in Kurigram. 

He arranged a month long tree plantation campaign with the aim of building a green Bangladesh marking the 48th martyrdom anniversary of the country’s founding President Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day.

Apart from schools, Polash has also conducted the campaign at various religious institutions at Roumari, Rajibpur and Chilmari upazilas in the district, former

Islamic University unit BCL president and also the party’s central body ex-assistant secretary Rabiul Islam Polash said.

Roumari upazila’s Char Khanjanmara Primary School head teacher Md Nazmul Hasan said, ‘I applaud this wonderful and commendable initiative. His work is encouraging everyone. Everyone should plant trees to maintain biodiversity, he added.

Biplab Hasan Polash said, “I am always working in response to the call of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Everyone should come forward to fulfill her dream of green revolution. It will protect the world from climate change. Not only during the month of mourning, our tree plantation programme continues throughout the year, he added.
