They faced the Finance Debating Club in the final.
The final of the competition was held on Tuesday through the online platform Zoom. The topic of the final session was Current Administrative Etiquette (behavior, activities, influence) is Challenging for Future Politics. The AISDF presented arguments in favor of the subject and the Finance Debating Club opposed them.
A total of 16 teams participated in this competition, which was held from the 22nd April to 24th April. The entire competition was conducted through the online medium ‘Discord’ server. The chief judge of the competition was Mahidul Islam Mahim, former General Secretary of Jagannath University Debating Society.
Moyna Akhter, President of AISDF, the winning team in the competition, said “Debate is a place to feel good, a place to love. And there is no limit to the joy of success in this place of love. AISDF is the center of my love. It is quite impossible of the AISDF to find the right words to express its joy at winning the Champions trophy as well as being the best debater in the tournament personally.
Ataur Rahman, another member of AISDF, said, “This is the pride of the Accounting and Information Systems Department, the pride of the AIS Debate Forum. Despite fasting, I was able to argue with the best of the three and luck was on my side. Above all, I appreciate DHP for organizing such a nice event.”
Mahbubul Alam Hadi, one of the organizers of the competition, said, “The path of Debate House of Public Administration (DHP) started in 2016 with the slogan ‘Creation of Reason, Best Administration’. Following the debate, DHP organized the first inter-departmental debate competition-2021 on the occasion of Mujib Year and the golden jubilee of independence. Thanks to all for participating in this series of on-going debates. Such arrangements will continue in the future as well.”
